In comparison with dome heads such solution provides noticeably better impact showings (due to minimal mass of movable system) and expanded working band. Carefully assembled martinlogan motion 15 immediately attracts attention by unusual set of emitters. The motion 20 weighs 37 pounds and measures 36.6h x 6.8w x. The folded ribbon tweeter does live up to the hype and provides very accurate and crisp sound without being harsh or shrill like some of the horn designs.
The motion speakers large soundstage, combined with excellent timbre matching across the line, create a surround sound system that blends and integrates well. I auditioned the motion 15s (and the rest of the motion offering) at a local audio store and was immediately blown away with the clarity. The motion 15 is a beautiful speaker with a smooth, controlled sound.
We were very impressed by martinlogans motion 15, especially by its folded motion tweeter. I purchased the motion 15 about 2 months ago. We didnt find it to be ideal for all genres, but feed it the right material, and it excels.
For the fronts, i'm divided between the martinlogan motion 40i, and the definitive technology bp9060. Hence, i got my hands on a pair of their lx16 bookshelf speakers.
